"SourceString": "On the first worst day of my life I walked past the security booth and into the Dunkeltaler forest perimeter. It was dusk and tired as hell so I just beelined straight to Alpha Base. The front door was unlocked (weird) and the base was in way better condition than what that old geezer Bao suggested (REALLY weird, no complaints though). I was in absolutely no condition to do anything but collapse into bed and get some rest to prepare for my first day at work. And what do I see when I wake up if not another living breathing human being right in my face as I'm trying to rest!!! I sunk into my pillow out of reflex as hard as possible and she just kept staring at me with the strangest stance and unkempt appearance like some kind of messed up beast. After a minute or so of reciprocal staring I gathered the courage to ask who she was. Told me her assigned name was Dr. ### - that's great, follow-question, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE? And she basically told me she used to work here and just decided to stick around after \"expiry\", like that isn't the creepiest goddamn thing she could have said, and that she wasn't expecting to see someone so soon. Yeah, same. I finally checked the PC and saw an email that said \"yeah, actually, you DO have a coworker, SUCKER! We were just so busy we FORGOT to tell you, sorry!!\" BUSY WITH WHAT? YOU HIRE PEOPLE EVERY 6 MONTHS!!! YOU SHOULD NOT BE BUSY WITH ANYTHING!!! All in all, hell of a first impression. She wasn't actually so bad though, very experienced for sure and friendly in her own very strange ways, as I came to find out in the following months. But yeah, at first I legitimately thought some kind of demon or messed up forest faerie had come to tear me apart, and it would have served me right for running away from the rest of my life to go work this job in isolation...",

The generator could not handle the strain anymore and detonated overnight, taking out the entire east wing alongside it. Emergency power has been keeping me alive for the past few hours but I think this is it this time. Even just giving the comms array the minimum amount of energy necessary is enough to make the air thin and the ambient temperature freezing, I've been touching the console with as much surface area of my body as possible just so I don't get frostbite here and now. It is almost done spinning up, but seeing the progress bar nearing 100% fills me with immense dread, because that's when I'll have to stop sitting here in limbo and do the only that can still be done. It breaks my heart that I cannot compose my own message anymore. We at least deserved to go out in as dignified a way as we lived, to tell everyone who we are, what we stood for. Our hopes and our joys. And instead, all they will know of us is our desperate screams and our dying gasps. Our beautiful skies tainted by that sickening red. Relaying it to others just as it was relayed to me. And then that's it. Back to sitting. For the rest of my life. I could have been home in my final moments but I'm here instea- ah. It is done winding up. I suppose it is time for farewells, then. Goodbye, dear and cruel universe. And goodbye, fairest Queen. End... log.",

"SourceString": "Fellow sighters, I hope this fine October weekend finds you even more well than usual! And how could it not, when we've got a new gen-yu-ine UFO sighting to chew on? This fine specimen of a photograph was shared online by an anonymous user (red flag, but bear with me) who claims to have been hiking on the alps at night (as one does, I guess) when they saw some strange flying object flickering in the distance. As you can - barely - see from the photo, it doesn't look like your traditional run-of-the-mill UFO, no sir! This one's like a sideways pyramid, A 3d isosceles triangle, whatever those are called. It's got a glow on the rear and that's pretty much it. Very minimalistic! Now, for the usual question: is this crap or not? Honestly, it could go either way with this one! The look is pretty unique and there's no obvious traces of image manipulation or anything like that, but the spaceship itself is a bit on the weird side... I mean, who's even going to be in it, 1 meter tall aliens? It's so short! So I'm on the fence here. Some more info would be welcome, which leaves us off with the usual complaint: god damn, sighters! Take! Videos! It's so much easier to believe an alien sighting that way! If any of you guys ever spots an UFO and doesn't immediately start recording it, you will NEVER hear the end of it! Your fellow sighter, out!",
